Information we handle

We handle account and contact information, service-property and utility-account identifiers, uploaded bills and contracts, signed authorization documents, ComEd interval data, payment status received from Stripe, support communications, and security and audit records.

Payment card numbers are entered into Stripe-hosted pages and are not stored by EzNRG.

How we use it

We use this information to operate onboarding, request authorized utility data, validate and analyze energy use, publish customer dashboards, provide support, secure the service, process account requests, and meet legal obligations.

Uploaded bill content may be sent to the configured document-extraction provider. An internal staff-only analytics assistant may process bounded summaries of reviewed bills, interval metrics, and approved rate references to help staff investigate the account; it is not given raw documents, utility account numbers, contact details, or unrestricted database access. Staff questions and generated answers are retained with the account until the documented deletion process runs.

The customer-facing EzNRG AI feature is not active in v1 and does not collect customer prompts.

Access, sharing, and retention

Access is limited to the customer's authorized users and EzNRG staff who need it to operate the service. We use contracted infrastructure, payment, email, monitoring, and extraction providers to process data on our behalf.

After Stripe confirms cancellation or an approved refund workflow completes, customer data is scheduled for deletion after 90 days, except minimal accounting, fraud, legal, security, and audit records that must be retained. Backups expire under their documented retention schedule.

Your choices

You may ask to access, correct, export, or delete account information through Contact. Some records cannot be deleted immediately where retention is required for legal, accounting, fraud prevention, or security purposes.
